BCTCS will take place at the University of Strathclyde campus in central Glasgow. Monday and Tuesday will take place in room TL325 in the Learning and Teaching Building (49 Richmond Street), while Wednesday's programme will take place in room SW105 in the Stenhouse Wing (199 Cathedral Street). There will be signs directing you from the entrance of the buildings.
We will announce a detailed schedule soon. We expect the first talk on Monday morning to start 10am (with registration and coffee before), and the last talk on Wednesday to finish around 5pm. Wednesday afternoon will have a special focus on Theoretical Computer Science Education.
There are many hotels in and around the city centre, as well as some hostels. The very nearest hotels to the university are:
The Premier Inns at St Enoch Square and particularly Glasgow City Centre South (just south of the River Clyde), are a bit further away (~25 min walk for the latter), but are normally cheaper than their George Square counterpart.
For those willing to share a dorm, the Revolver Hotel (private rooms also available) may be worth a look.
The University of Strathclyde is located short walks away from both Glasgow Queen Street train station (five minutes) and Glasgow Central train station (10 minutes). See National Rail for train times and connections. PhD students might save money by getting a 16–25 railcard.
Eduroam Internet access is available at the conference venue; if not already configured, you can download a configuration tool for your device here. If you do not have access to Eduroam, you can also use the 'Wifi Guest' network after creating an account.
